The globally beloved off-roader—the Suzuki Jimny series—is about to welcome a long-awaited new variant in Japan. Who Is It For?

The Jimny Nomad 5-Door is perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. It maintains the legendary off-road capability of the Jimny, while significantly enhancing on-road comfort and day-to-day practicality. Fold down the rear seats, and the cargo capacity jumps from 207L to 331L—enough for serious adventures.

Improved Interior and Practicality

The longer body allows rear passengers 50mm more legroom, and the seat spacing is extended by 90mm. The hip point is raised by 20mm, and the cushion thickness has been improved for a more comfortable ride. Combined, these upgrades make for a much more spacious and livable rear seat experience.

Legendary Off-Road Performance, Uncompromised

True to its heritage, the Jimny Nomad continues to feature a ladder frame, FR layout, part-time 4WD with low-range transfer case, and 3-link rigid axle suspension. With approach, breakover, and departure angles of 36°, 25°, and 47° respectively—and a 210mm ground clearance—the Jimny Nomad remains a serious off-roader. It also comes standard with electronic brake LSD traction control for greater stability across rugged terrain.

Unique Exterior Design

While extending the wheelbase by 340mm and overall length by 415mm, Suzuki retains the Jimny’s classic boxy silhouette. The rear quarter panels and side windows are elongated for the 5-door layout. Ground clearance stands at 210mm, and minimum turning radius is 5.7m.

The front features iconic round headlamps and a five-slot grille exclusive to the Nomad, with chrome accents and gunmetal paint to enhance its rugged yet refined look. Classic elements like the clamshell hood remain untouched.
